Architectural Control Committee

Oversees the enforcement of architectural controls of the common and limited common elements as outlined in the Master Deed and Bylaws and other standards accepted by the Board of Directors.

Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and enforcement of the Satellite Dish Standard
  • Monitor and enforcement of the Storm Door Standard
  • Monitor and enforcement of the Sign Specification Standard
  • Review and approve Alteration/Modification requests
  • Review Notification of Compliance submissions

Clubhouse Committee

Monitors the clubhouse and enforces the rules governing use of the clubhouse.

Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work hand in hand with the management company to monitor the proper rental and reservation of the clubhouse
  • Prepare a policy for what constitutes a “rental event” for implementation as a Barclay Park policy
  • Monitor use of the exercise room, including maintenance and replacement of equipment
  • Monitor the cleaning and routine maintenance (such as carpet cleaning, painting, etc) of the clubhouse
  • Assist the Board of Directors in managing the surveillance and security system
  • Make recommendations to the Board of Directors for capital improvements (such as replacement of exercise equipment, furniture, etc.)

Publicity Committee

Leads efforts to foster a sense of community and productive relationships among co-owners, the Board of Directors, and the committees.

Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generally, foster communication efforts among all co-owners
  • Plan community events (i.e. parties, outings, sporting tournaments, etc.)
  • Assist in managing association meetings (i.e. promote Co-owner attendance, set-up chairs, plan refreshments, etc.)
  • Assist the Board of Directors in preparing and distributing a community newsletter
  • Assist the Board of Directors in editing the website (i.e. monitoring the accuracy of information and making suggestions for improvements
  • Determine a system for welcoming new Co-owners to the neighborhood, including making new homeowners aware of the website and community email list

Grounds Maintenance Committee

Primary Responsibility: Monitor the grounds maintenance of the community, including landscaping, lawn mowing, and provide recommendations to the Board of Director’s for plantings and/or replacement of vegetation.

Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the enforcement of the Bridgeport Landscaping Guideline
  • Recommend locations for the plantings of perennial flowers in the spring/summer
  • Make recommendations to the Board of Directors for Association expenditures for grounds maintenance (i.e. snow removal and landscaping)
  • Monitor general maintenance of the site (i.e. lighting, litter, site improvements, etc.)
