Reminder: Trash, Recycling, & Waste Disposal

As we ease into a new year, the Board of Directors and our property management company wishes to remind all residents of the need to keep trash cans and recycle cans out on Tuesday evenings, and back inside garages the following day after trash collection. For holiday trash and recycle service, sometimes the date/time changes. Please see this City of Ann Arbor website for more information. Please remember that cans should be 3 feet apart and handles should face away from the street, and the cans should not be put far out on the curb which can create a driving safety issue. Solid waste drivers are essential workers and need to navigate many obstacles to do their jobs. For Christmas Tree Disposal until January 15, 2024, please note there are no-cost drop-off locations in the City of Ann Arbor with the closest one to our neighborhood being the Olson Park parking lot at 1515 Dhu Varren Road near Pontiac Trail. Normal park hours are 6a-10p and collected trees are chipped. Hazardous waste disposal (including used cooking oils) can be disposed with the Household Toxics program in Washtenaw County.
